Beximco Power Company Limited is venturing into establishing a 540 MW power project in Bangladesh. The planned 540 MW coal fired power plant will be the first commercial power plant in this country. Beximco has financed Northern Power Solution Limited in setting up a 50 MW HFO fired power plant at Katakhali, Rajshahi. This quick rental power plant is set to start its commercial operation in later part of December, 2011.
